During the seminar Maul Mornie will explain how to use the Sarong as a traditional weapon. [A sarong is a large tube or length of fabric, often wrapped around the waist and worn as a kilt by men and as a skirt by women throughout much of South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Arabian Peninsula, the Horn of Africa, Europe and on many Pacific islands.]

The seminar is particularly interesting for traditional martial artists as well as anybody interested in effective self-defence.
Silat Suffian techniques applied by the use of a Saron can easily been applied with a scarf, a belt, a towel, or even a t-shirt. The stage will give oportunity to learn an effective method of using common objects as effective weapons for self-defence.

The Stage is open to anybody interested, regardless of age, phisical or technical skills, martial experience.

Durante il seminario Maul Mornie spiegherà l’utilizzo del Sarong come arma tradizionale. [Il sarong è un largo pezzo di cotone o seta, drappeggiato intorno alla vita e indossato come una gonna da uomini e donne in molte zone dell'Asia del Sud e dell'Est, nel Corno d'Africa, e in alcune isole del Pacifico.]
Il seminario è particolarmente interessante sia per gli appassionati della tradizione marziale, sia per tutti coloro interessati alla difesa personale.
Le tecniche di Silat Suffian applicate con un sarong, infatti, sono facilmete adattabili a una sciarpa, una cintura, un asciugamano, una maglietta ecc.. Lo stage darà a tutti la possibilità di imparare un metodo molto efficace per utilizzare oggetti di uso comune (apparentemente innocui) come efficaci armi di difesa personale.

Il seminario è aperto a tutti gli interessati, indipendentemente dal livello tecnico / esperienza marziale o dalla preparazione fisica.

SHAOLIN TONG-ZI-GONG – BUDDHIST YOGA of WARRIOR MONKS: Art of flexibility.

The Tong-Zi-gong is the essence of the best exercises of Indian Yoga, Kung-Fu and Qi-gong, so it is considered the most mystical Shaolin Kung-Fu. It is, along with the Qi-gong, the inner discipline preferred by the Shaolin Masters. Flexibility is crucial, because it is more flexible, more resistant to pain and can best withstand the pain, the quicker you learn Kung-fu. Last millennium, the Shaolin Order has always imposed the Tong Zi-gong-like basic training for every child who wanted to become a Shaolin Monk. This is not wrong: the Tong-Zi-gong, in fact, is able to transform a poor student in a particularly gifted student who stands out among its peers, strong in body and spirit, qualities that keep it for all life. If you start the practice of Shaolin Kung-Fu without first practicing Tong-Zi-gong, the quality of the technique will decline at the age of 50 or 60 years maximum, but those who practice the Tong-Zi-gong had lost none of own agility and skill in Kung-Fu. The Shaolin Quan-Mi adds: “The Monk will look young and agile as a boy, although his hair is white like the feathers of a crane. His body will be soft like brocade, light as a swallow and tough as steel”. Shaolin Tong-Zi-gong includes external and internal exercises; exercises to improve flexibility; exercises to improve strength and exercises to improve posture.

Till today, outside of China are very few schools that teach Shaolin systematically this ancient and valuable discipline. In Italy this task is entrusted to the Academy SHAOLIN MONKS ITALY / E-MAA by M ° Sri Rohininandana Das and M ° Radha Priya Dasi (first woman Master in the world to have officially presented Tong-Zi-Gong), in Milan. In this video M ° Radha Priya Dasi presents a Tao-Lu (shape) of Tong-Zi-Gong advanced level that exemplifies the capacity of this Shaolin discipline to make the body of a martial athlete strong and flexible at the same time. Furthermore, since there are not yet documents in western languages on the Tong-Zi-gong, M ° Sri Rohininandana Das has personally considered important to provide a faithful translation of the original manuscript Shaolin “Tong-zi-tu” in Italian, why Tong -zi-gong, as the entire Shaolin culture are worthy of being recognized and brought to light. M ° Sri Rohininandana das therefore published by Edizioni E-MAA-LULU and XENIA two books, the first ever in Italian dedicated to this important and still little known Shaolin discipline : “Shaolin Tong-ZI-GONG: Yoga Warrior Monks” (E-MAA/LULU’) and “The Tong-Zi-gong: Buddhist Yoga Shaolin: Art of flexibility” (XENIA). These two books are part of the FIRST COMPLETE AND SYSTEMATIC ENCYCLOPEDIA SHAOLIN MONKS ITALY (20 volumes, more audio and video) – with translation from the original texts- on history, philosophy, spirituality, psychology, martial internal / external technique and cultural back-ground of the Shaolin Warrior Monks. This complex and extensive research, documentation and testimony is given and in support of the Abbot of the Temple, the Venerable Shi-Yong-Xin and his mission to raise Shaolin to UNESCO CULTURAL HERITAGE OF HUMANITY.
